Manjari Fadnnis Instagram – Was waiting to work with Neeraj Pandey Sir for almost 12 years or more!
Finally one day in Nov 2021, I got a call from Shubham our casting director, for the Screentest of The Freelancer.
Screentests can be very unnerving especially when u really want to be a part of a project. But Thankuuu Shubham for making it so comfortable & relaxed.❤️🤗
But then No calls came for almost 3 months & I starting giving up on it. But then Shubham called in April 2022 to tell me I’m in the Shortlist & will be needed to Screentest in front of Neeraj sir who will be directing the scene with Mohit in the test. I was thrilled but also very nervous.
Then 10th April, day of the Screentest I must have met Neeraj Sir after almost 11 years. He was as always very warm but has this strict no nonsense aura about him. It felt great to be directed by him in the test.
Next few days while I was waiting for the final result, I Couldn’t sleep was super restless, couldn’t sit in one place! Finally the call came 4 days later. I still remember I was about to leave for another shoot at Pune & I saw Shubham’s name flashing on my phone… This could either be The News I was waiting for or just another sorry it didn’t work out. My heart at 1st stopped & then was beating so fast I could literally hear it. I calmed myself down picked up & Shubham was like, ´U Got it!´ Oh my God!!! I was laughing jumping! Luckily my parents were around so went & hugged them & was a bit emotional too… Will always remember that moment.
I didn’t tell anyone about it till my last day of shoot (when I knew now noone can kick me out of the project even if they wanted to. Haha😂).
Now that I have worked with Neeraj Sir, I’m not done yet! I’m super greedy now & wanna work with him on many many more projects in near future… Fingers crossed 🤞He sure has the best best people working in his team! What a wonderful experience working with Friday Storytellers❤️❤️❤️
