Misty Copeland Instagram – I’m honored to finally announce that my short film “Flower” @oaklandflowerfilm has been included as an Official Selection of the 2023 Tribeca Festival @tribeca with a Special Event stand-alone premiere screening. In “Flower,” audiences will get the chance to see me perform again, through a beautiful and relevant story about community, circumstance, and what it means to belong during times of uncertainty. “Flower” is an homage to Black Silent “race” films of the 1920s, to the intrinsic human ability to express ourselves through movement, and the universal language of dance.
