Nandita Das Instagram – Was beyond happy to meet Shyam babu, as many of us respectfully and affectionately call him. He looked more frail than I had last seen him, but his spirit remains indomitable as ever. I could listen to him for hours. #shyambenegal has been a mentor to so many of us. His stories are lessons in life and cinema. The occasion was my dear friend Anuradha Parikh’s b’day at the lovely @g5afoundation . Was lovely to meet so many wonderful friends including @azmishabana18 , @jaduakhtar and Shyam Babu’s daughter and costume designer Piya. So glad we managed to get a photo together. Memories…
