Naomi J. Ogawa Instagram – Portugal summer 2023! 

I typically don’t really talk about anything to do with body image but I’m not going to lie… I really struggled with it on this trip! I also had a tremendous amount of food guilt.. Although I had so much fun, I was monitoring everything I ate and wouldn’t give into my ‘fear’ foods. One of them being a croissant.. I love pastries but I’m scared of them 😂 towards the end of my trip, I decided to loosen the reins and let go a bit. I ate whatever my heart desired and I felt great. I loved the seafood I had, especially the oysters 🦪 and the chocolate cake (that doesn’t have a moment on here because I ate it the minute it arrived) 

I thought I’d share this as I know a lot of people have body image issues, obsessive thoughts surrounding food and unkind thoughts about our body when we overindulge. Holidays are meant to be fun and stress free! The lesson I learnt on this trip is to give into my cravings on holiday and relax. I’m working towards having a healthier relationship with my body and eating habits 🤍🏄🏻‍♀️
