« While living 8 years in London Uk doing open mic nights, winning two songwriting competitions and getting 1st place at The Stage UK competition awarding her a music and vocal scholarship with Tech Music / BIMM school, Odreii also worked with the legendary songwriter Ralph Murphy who praised her creative songwriting imageries and being able to break rules tastefully. Her song “Tell Me You Love Me” picked up by Victoria Secret’s official playlist and “Gold for Water” is described as songwriting masterpieces until this day.
Before starting her own project, Odreii wrote for several commercial clients and DJ’s. Her song “Burn” was the most popular reaching more than 20 millions streams, while being played by Tiesto and Don Diablo. Odreii landed placements for international artists and producers for her song “Runs in mi blood” and “Go Solo” which is playing on Virgin radio, and 92.5 The Beat FM.
A versatile songwriter not afraid to try something new, explore different avenues and forms of expressions through her cultural diversity:
“As a songwriter I try not to judge a song based what I’ve learnt or what i am used to listen to. I am careful not to be quick on the trigger pointing out what is a good or not.
I’m so happy we hear a lot more artists like Burna Boy, Tems, Rosalia, Koffee, Chronixx, Bad Bunny with a large international reach, artists with different languages and dialects being creative and playing with structures.”
