Paige Elkington Instagram – A few months back, my mom was diagnosed with a rare cancer which was a huge blow. For her 70th birthday, she wanted me to go skydiving with her for the first time. Skydiving was not on my bucket list, but when your 70 yr old mom is all about it, you do it. We sat through this video where they casually mentioned, “Hey, you might die.” Then came the paperwork, pages and pages of legal jargon that I mostly tuned out, while my mom signed away her life in the most beautiful handwriting I’ve ever seen. We got on a tiny plane and flew over my hometown in Tennessee. To drown out my nerves I started imagining what my life would’ve been like had had I stayed in the South. I was so terrified but my mom had absolutely no fear and laughed from start to finish. I am profoundly grateful for this experience. Happy birthday Mom. | Posted on 22/Sep/2023 04:01:12
