Pauley Perrette Instagram – I don’t break the law.
I’d stop at a stop sign in the middle of a desert with no one around for a hundred miles.
I like being a good citizen
A great neighbor
And basically just doing good stuff all the time.
It was the very early #90s
I was a 20 something, street skater, broke, reluctant model, young punk in NYC.
I’d cut all my hair off, became a bartender,
Liked that more than being a model.
I worked at one of my
many, many bartending jobs,
this one at the #FlatIronBuilding in NYC.
It was a tiny bar where no one went.
I was the bartender and @randalltang was my “waitress”, that was our joke.
Other than gaining one of my most blessed life long friends in Randall
(Now a famous makeup,
hair artist and outstanding photographer)
I gained something else.
While we hung around at “work”, me and Randall would just talk endlessly,
people watch out the fully windowed triangular room and listen to music.
That’s when it happened.
WHAT
WAS
THAT.
THAT was
#TheLionAndTheCobra album by #SineadOconnor
I was speechless (for once).
Played it over and over and over.
I could NOT believe the sheer brilliance.
I’d skate to work the next day just to hear that CD again and again.
One day I couldn’t stand it anymore…
I STOLE IT!
I flat out stole it.
Right out of the CD player,
No case,
no #Jcard (look that up)
no nothing
Except this magic disc.
I skated home and played that cd so many times on repeat for months
I could’ve worn grooves in it.
It was everything
Still is.
To this day, I’m not sure if I stole that CD from Randall or the bar or who,
But I stole it,
I couldn’t live without it.
And I love it still.
Thank you Sinead.
May you finally Rest In Peace.
And sorry Ran-Doll!
Love you still!
