Payal Rohatgi Instagram – This is great news. Now those judges who refuse YouTube telecast cant refuse publishing of transcripts. I believe there needs to 24/7 monitoring in all courtrooms of India. My 5th lawyer for my Jaipur High Court quashing attended my hearing on 30th Jan without a vakalatnama. I was so grateful as it was a last moment decision to get him on board because I was in fact planning to go to Jaipur to do certain changes myself in the lawyers representing me as my quashing petition had a wrong defence in it. But then he didn’t attend my hearing on 21st Feb when it was a 482 Crpc hearing and he had the vakalatnama by then and the advance payment. As a client I would have insisted the lawyer to attend the important hearing, but sadly he didn’t even inform me that he wasn’t going for my hearing which I found so wrong as per Advocates Act 1961. I am given information that Bar Counsel of Rajasthan can’t force any lawyer to not attend their clients hearing in a strike and I share this with him. In fact orders are passed on 21st Feb in Jaipur HC so certain lawyers must have gone for arguing their clients case. He said he won’t give me NOC because I said I will have to replace him due to his wrong work ethics. 🙃 So wrong attitude. But by this SC activity, lawyers who go for arguments on hearing can’t say that they did a logical argument and yet judge didn’t pass a favourable judgement as he/she had a mindset.
