Regina Spektor Instagram – What an unbelievable gift to spend the morning @metmuseum taking in the last day of their incredible Van Gogh’s Cypresses exhibit ❤️🙌 Thank you for having me! Being in the same room as those precious works- many collected from different museums and private collections- was like being a guest at an incredible family reunion. You could almost feel how happy they were to be together. Glancing from one to another in the same space felt so special. Seeing letters to his family up close, the brush strokes, and reading about the history of each work- it all filled me up! If I didn’t have to get to the festival tomorrow, I would have stayed forever (or at least till closing time…) If you’re visiting NYC or you live here- get yourself to #themet The permanent collection is part of my soul, I’ve been coming here since I was small… They always have new incredible exhibits arriving so become friends with this treasure of our city, and you’ll always feel inspired! Today I’m floating having gotten the chance!
