Seema Jaswal Instagram – The @wellchild awards was an evening that quite simply took my breath away and it was a reminder that life itself is a privilege. You never quite know what cards you’ll be dealt with in life and the young children I met on the night face challenges every day that many of us could not imagine having to live with. Yet they manage to not only live their lives but also make a difference to others. Inspired beyond words with the courage bravery and spirit these children and their families have shown…they are true heroes. I was honoured to present an award to Hayley in the most inspirational young person 12-14 category alongside my good friend @edchamberlin Hayley – @cassinhayley is not only exceptionally talented but worked the room like I’ve never seen before! I loved spending the evening with her and her beautiful family who I am also incredibly inspired by and I hope that I am able to be as good a parent to my daughter as they are to Hayley. The evening was also another reminder of just how lucky we are to have such fantastic Doctors, Nurses and Carers in this country. Thank you for your selflessness. On a final note, Hayley said something that has stuck with me and I think it’s something that we could all learn from. She said ‘I’m not disabled I’m differently abled’ Thank you to the wellchild team for having me and for such a special evening. #wellchildawards #inspiring
