Pushing beyond boundaries with equipment that was built with a purpose is super challenging and the results are just mind blowing. It pushed me to be a better photographer, I mean I could’ve simply gotten away by just presenting the usual case of astro photography, architecture and landscape, but if I was investing in a lens like this that can be so much more and deliver a unique perspective for my genre, I’m going to test its limits. This lens is tack sharp and the autofocus motors work really well with the contrast based AF system on the S1H. Though it’s on the heavier side, it gives substantial confidence to balance and compose your shot. The super wide FOV implies that I get more time with the subject in my frame for street as it takes longer for a subject to leave the frame and I found this to be super useful to get my shots in place. The colours, micro contrast and overall build quality is just simply outstanding with the lens.
