Siobhan Williams Instagram – I wanted to share this beautiful moment that I was so fortunate to have today. We wanted to get outside despite the rain, and although I knew a fair bit of wildlife would be hunkered down keeping dry, I was still hopeful. I spotted these two young deer way down the path, and as we stopped and waited, they came closer and closer and eventually they passed us. Its incredible to watch this little one as she susses out the situation, it seems like you can read exactly what is on her mind. Any encounter with wildlife is so precious. I know people might write deer off as common or unexciting, but I think they’re one of the most beautiful creatures to roam the planet. If you’ve ever had a wildlife encounter then you know there is something indescribable about two mammals’ innate ability to read one another’s emotions and intentions. It’s something we as a species have come so far from that we forget. But that connection is deep within our reptilian brain. So deep it feels spiritual really. Anyway. There’s my little blurb for the night. Wildlife is amazing. We’re really lucky. I hope we can do better in protecting them and their homes. They really need our help. 🤍
