Before August ends.. Another year around the sun 🌞
But this time, I felt like I was back in school. You know, when it’s your birthday, and everyone wishes you, and there’s loads of cake, surrounded by friends, a day full of love.
My absolutely awesome friends went above and beyond to make a working birthday feel like the best feeling ever. The celebration began in Newcastle with friends and ended in London with family ❤️

The team was back at work at The Bricks, the beautiful @company_of_others studio, to rehearse for The Forest Dream tour. Whilst the week was about revisiting the choreography, cleaning up our moves, it was also about trial and error and reflecting back on what we’d accomplished in the creation period.

I wonder how she senses the breeze…
When she sees a bug or a worm
Is she excited? Does she freeze?
When disappointment hugs her too tight,
When tears roll down her cheeks,
Does she ever calculate the disguise?
does she hide when she cries?
When mom and dad give her a kiss
Does she wonder what else is there to miss?
Does she push those kisses away,
being busy picking her next form of play.
When ice-cream melts on her tongue
Does she get lost in the stream of worry?
Or is she free to bubble with pleasure
living in the very center of her own story?
