I’m putting this post so that this may prompt atleast some of you to learn a bit more about this and the key risk factors associated with dementia. Surabhi Santosh Instagram – Story time:

On Jan 23rd this year, in between our busy morning routine my family and I heard a kitten crying. I remember asking my mom about the kitten but I didn’t think much of it as I was in a hurry to get to work. When I came back home in the evening, I could still hear the cries, but now, it was much weaker. It went on for sometime before it completely stopped. My mom told me that the kitten had been crying the entire day. Around the same time, my dad received a call from my neighbour asking if we could foster a kitten that had just been rescued by a lady living a few houses away as she couldn’t keep the kitten since her mom was undergoing treatment for cancer; Thinking it might be the same kitten we heard crying all day, we walked over to her house with our carrier in tow.
On the way, we hear the faint cry again, we decided to look around and found the cutest ginger cat hiding behind a lamp post! She was all but 2 weeks. Although she was tiny and weak, she was still brave in her attempts to defend herself as we tried to catch her. Finally she gave in and we put her in the carrier.
Whilst being confused about our rescue, we received a call from the lady next door asking us where we were… It is then we realised that the kitten she was talking about was different!!! Since we promised her that we’d come, we went over to her house and found another beautiful ginger girl waiting for us. To our surprise the kitten we had just rescued and who had been crying non-stop since, immediately stopped crying at the sight of the other kitten. It is only after we put the 2nd kitten in our carrier that we realised that the both of them were in fact sisters from the same litter and had been abandoned by someone that morning 😮😮
It was heartwarming to watch how these scared kittens calmed down when they saw eachother.
The initial plan was to foster them and give them to another loving home that could take care them both BUT the thought of having to give them away was unbearable and we just couldn’t.
Now, 8 months later, they have become a big part of our small family and the happiness they bring to us every single day cannot be put into words. 😍🥰
