Acid Betty Instagram – I met a guy at every @misssherryvine show who quickly became one of my dearest and best friends. I’ll never forget the day I saw his faux hawk, and I thought to myself, ‘I want to wear that and dress up with you next week.’ That moment marked the beginning of what is now known as Acid Betty (there’s a photo him putting me in his first hawk piece, I was LIVING!).
Marec was not only my personal hairdresser but also my closest friend and the ultimate party companion. He taught me everything I know about hair and is the creator of my signature mohawk and wiglets, as I fondly call them.
Getting older has its challenges, but perhaps the toughest part is losing the friends and companions who have been with us through the years. I used to take photos like crazy before cameras were part of our phones (haha), and I’ve dug up some early snapshots of us. Those were the days when we’d experiment with hair and makeup and parade around the clubs like a couple of wild fools!
