I’ve always had such a love for fashion that I completely abandoned because of all the trauma and harassment I received in my teen years. I just naturally gravitated towards gender non conforming styles of dress which made me a big target. It was so natural for me that I couldn’t even understand all the hate I was receiving. I didn’t realize until the last few years how much I internalized all of that hate which clouded my genuine expression. I’m so happy I’ve been able to shed that trauma and re-emerge to express myself fully and unapologetically. Always be genuine. Don’t let hate dampen your expression. That time I sculpted prosthetics for the @bouletbrothers and their Halfway to Halloween special on @shudder my pal @keltonfx helped me apply on set. Also I casted silicone half masks from the same mold for their radical coffin transformation performance on the Dragula tour. I came across this album I made of screenshots from my favorite shots in the @witherfallofficial “the other side of fear” music video me and my pal @kaslarmy co directed. I just want you to take a moment to appreciate how the video moves through the color palette. Look at it from top to bottom as each slide passes. It’s really neat to flow through the palette from an expanded view like this. @rannieaugogo and @sintwisted kicked ass with us in the height of the pandemic we shot this in our living room, all four of us a skeleton crew working multiple roles. To this day I’m so proud of this video.
My inspiration for the feel of this was Suspiria and 70’s psychotronic film.

It still blows my mind how many of my hero’s I’ve been fortunate enough to meet. Even before I realized I was queer I was obsessed with the Club Kids and @jamesstjames1 they inspired me in ways that I had yet to understand. I was so honored to be able to do James makeup twice for his show transformations and then get to be on a panel with him at Rupauls Drag Con back in 2016. Also one time I had the insane honor of hanging out with legendary inspiration @therickbaker at his home studio when I gave him a Pickle Rick Baker sculpture I made. I can’t even tell you how much that experience meant to me. From being a weird kid in a small town drawing monsters and obsessively watching the making of Thriller to actually hanging out with the guy that inspired me to become an FX makeup artist is just so surreal and I am deeply grateful. #transformations #rickbaker #jamesstjames #goals #milestones #idols
