Colin O’Brady Instagram – One week, alone, in a pitch black cave = PROFOUND PROFOUND – That’s not a word I use lightly, but it’s the perfect word to describe my experience of this week alone in the darkness. No light, no music, no podcast, no books, nothing to distract me, just me alone in the dark with my mind. This video was recorded the moment I emerged from the cave and saw light for the first time. I battled discomfort and fear, but on the other side of those emotions, I touched the deepest calm, safe, peaceful, fulfilled state of being that I’ve ever experienced. It’s like the 1’s and 10’s I talk about. We need to be willing to face discomfort and our deepest fears and challenges, for often on the other side of that we find the most profound depth of purpose and fulfillment. I’m still gathering my thoughts and integrating all of the lessons I learned in the dark. I’ll certainly be sharing more in the coming days. For now I’ll close with this.
