The finger pointing, the tug of war, and the polarization of this country has been tearing me apart. I’ve felt alienated from friends and family, and I’ve been pushed away by people I love, and it hurts. I have found that the only way to heal is through true, empathic dialogue – listening to each others’ struggles and fears and where they’re coming from. The world is not as dichotomous or black and white as it sometimes feels; it’s deeply complicated and full of trauma and history. To me, real love is the action of trying to understand, and I feel that is what we need in this moment, more than ever ❤️🙏🏾 I’m so grateful for everyone that helped bring this video to life 😭🙏🏾.
