Freddie Wong Instagram – You often hear about forms that ceramicists have made “thousands of times,” refining the shape over many iterations.
As I’m just a beginner I thought I had no such forms, but I realized that there IS something I have made probably thousands of times – little chopsticks holders folded from the paper chopsticks often come in.
This is a shape I’ve been making for years, so I tried my hand at creating a mold out of plaster to cast it in porcelain. Next iteration I think I will leave unglazed, as the plaster captures a subtle paper texture present in the origami versions. | Posted on 23/Aug/2022 04:40:25
