James Gunn Instagram – So sad to hear of the passing of Keith Giffen, a true original voice in comics both as a writer and artist, whose uniqueness, fleet-footedness, humor, and beauty made the Justice League, Lobo, Ambush Bug, Rocket Raccoon, Blue Beetle. and so many other classic characters come alive in ways we had never seen before. I remember first noticing Keith as a kid reading the first appearance of Ambush Bug (co-created by Paul Kupperberg) and thinking – Wow, what a refreshing take on superheroes, and so different in every way from other DC and Marvel artists of the time. Thank you for years of enjoyment, Keith. Rest in peace. All my love to his family and friends. ❤️
