Macklemore Instagram – I spent the day in Detroit recuperating after very little sleep and border crossing out of Canada. Usually I get out and explore a city I’ve grown to really love. I love the music that has come out of the D. From Slum Village, Royce to Em and Motown. I love the wide leg old school pinstripe suits, Stacey Adam’s and a crisp brim. I love the Vernors ginger ale that is a staple from the great state of Michigan. I love the Cadillac’s that were built in the motor city. I love the zoom recovery meetings I found out of Michigan during the pandemic (KCB)…. And I love the people. Always a special night at the historic Fillmore. The golden walls hold magic. Thank you Detroit. Always 🫶🏻 Detroit, Michigan

Macklemore Instagram – Chicago. It’s one of those cities when the sun is out it’s hard to compete with. It has left a lasting imprint of inspiration that carriers over every time I’m in the city. The towering buildings immaculate in ornate detail. The unpredictable gusts of wind coming off Lake Michigan. The linage of some of my my favorite hip hop music from Ye, Common, Twista and Chance. The impact of The Bulls and Jordan on my childhood. The late night Lou Malnati’s deep dish mission. Yea, Chicago is up there for me. And last night at The Aragon I was reminded that it also produces some of the best shows in America. 5,000 people, full moon, friday night, sold out energy on display. I loved every minute. Thank you Chicago 🫶🏻
