Martins Licis Instagram – 日本の力石はすごいです! Our first full Day in Japan filming for “Strength Unknown” couldn’t be more eventful and fulfilling 🙌 The lifting stones they have are on another level. With more then ten thousand historic stones accounted for, many with ancient engravings denoting successful lifters of said stones, I am left wondering, just how extensive was their stone lifting culture? Why did such an intense passion for stone lifting fade? What other surprises does this country hold in strength history? Well, thanks to these shrines that still honor these precious stones, we can get a little glimpse back in time, to a Japan that made the earth quake with a zest for hoisting rock and mastering strength.
