I’m finding it difficult to articulate my complicated thoughts on what’s going on in my homeland — multiple people that are very close to me have been affected. This post by @alexedelman captures some of my feelings quite well. I’ll leave it here and step away from social media for a while. Ron Gilbert dropping wisdom about art in relation to the ending of Monkey Island 2 — my favorite ending of any video game. As an artist, be a slave to the thing you’re creating… not to the fear of how it’ll be received.
If you grew up as a gamer you’ll feel seen by this beautifully told story. If you turned your hobby into a career of making games, this novel will feel deeply — and at times uncomfortably — personal. Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by @gabriellezevin is a must read!
