When you approach the goal line of your life, as I do with my upcoming 60th, realizing what really matters in the end, which is loving your neighbor in the awareness of your own finality of all your efforts, there is no shortcut in facing the truth. The redux of one of the most successful albums of all time, Dark Side of the Moon, holding a mirror for me. I’ve known and loved the original album for around 45 years and yet I’ve never really grasped the actual message. I’ve always focused on the music and felt the lyrics as accompaniment🙈 I thank Roger Waters from the bottom of my heart for its new record, because it currently helps me to realize the true value of my life more consciously every day. The farewell of a beloved mother-in-law, as well as the delightful smile of my youngest grandson, or the professional encouragement of the coaches I trust. Not to mention the unconditional love of my wife, with whom I have now been allowed to spend 34 years of my life, or the fact that I am able to enjoy three simply wonderful sons and two no less wonderful daughters-in-law. Life is a short warm Moment and Death a long cold Rest. Nothing more to say.
