They sent him into the underworld. But after witnessing his generosity, Vamana allowed him to visit his people once in every year. The people rejoiced his return and called it Onam. Onam teaches us generosity. Even if you were a demon, the good deeds you do will come back to you as a greater good. May this Onam bring joy and prosperity in abundance.
