Amber Marshall Instagram – Many of you have been asking how my old alpaca Betty is doing. I knew she was on her last legs this past year and is it with a heavy heart I report she has finally made her way across the rainbow bridge. Betty was with us many years, and took great care of all the calves each spring. She would lay with them in the pasture, often seen grooming them, and keeping all safe from predators. I remember back to one harsh snowstorm when I went out in our big field searching for a younger calf that was missing. I found Betty laying out in the far corner of the 100 acre pasture, and underneath her hid the newborn calf, just his nose poking out from her snow covered body. She really was one of a kind and her presence will be greatly missed on the farm. #BettyTheAlpaca ❤️
