Afraid that I would never be able to access Sir’s music easily again, I asked my father whether Sir would ever come back. This turned out to be a moment of revelation for me as I realised my love for his music. Although I got introduced to Gulzar Saab through Dil Se, I later found out that a lot of my favourite songs – Tere Bina Zindagi Se, Gol Maal Hai, Aanewala Pal – were written by him.
