I’m struggling to find places that will take physical donations outside of Hawaiʻi besides ILWU Memorial Hall in Wilmington California open 8a-8p until August 17th. Comment and lmk if you know of any in your state/county. ITEMS IN MOST DEMAND: • Baby food • Diapers, wipes • Toiletries (toothbrushes, body wash, soaps, etc.) • Sleeping bags • Pillows • Bedding Bed mats • Towels • Sandals • Basic home necessities Link in my bio will take you to Hawaii National Public Radio, where they lay out ways you can help, both in-person and from afar. If all you can offer is prayer, we’ll take it. On a personal note I feel numb and close to tears every time I talk about this. Of all the natural disasters we have faced; earthquakes, hurricanes, tsunamis and flooding… to say we were under-prepared for this disaster is an understatement. DO NOT TRAVEL TO HAWAIʻI UNLESS YOU ARE RENDERING AID. This has been declared a FEDERAL DISASTER. Your vacation can wait.
