I am so humbled and in awe of my new friends, co-collaborators and luminaries with their work in the #ClimateCrisis. 🧨 Whether it be; ethical fashion 👖 (repairing what you have buying what you’ll cherish), investing in clean energy 🌬️(think: what will work in YOUR community and how can we offset its environmental impact?), being cognizant of our purchases and their carbon footprint 🦶🏽(I encourage you to look into Speed & Scale by John Doerr for a comprehensive plan of how to cut emissions to net zero by 2050), or raising good trouble to ✨CHANGE POLICY✨there are SO many places and empty spaces to fill when asked how we can save our beautiful planet. And YOU can create fill them my friend!! 🫵🏽🗣️ As a young kānaka maoli with fierce interest in native rights clean water (both ocean drinkable wai) I have wondered how to insert myself into these big conversations. I love engaging with my community and being the change I want to see within it. And I’m grateful to have this platform (not only bc it gets me into these spaces in the first place!! but also) to share what I learn and hopefully inspire my fellow peers to take action -no matter how small.
