Brandy Ledford Instagram – Turning tragedy into saving lives, Robert and Linell Shapiro established the Brent Shapiro Foundation after losing their son, Brent, to addiction in October 2005. The foundation has successfully created an evidence-based incentive program for youths, called Brent’s Club, which provides a dedicated space for kids to join recovery programs, and abstain from drugs and alcohol, creating opportunity’s for college scholarships. Supported by donors worldwide who are concerned about the substance abuse epidemic, their Summer Spectacular was a huge win for the foundation and I was so honored to be there to witness the positive impact of their work. Thank you John Paul and my incredibly beautiful friend @eloisedejoria for inviting us and @brentshapirofdn and @shapiro.robert for all you do for the recovery community.
