Georgie Barrat Instagram – Hosted a Q&A for @tado_com at IFA, Berlin. Tado specialise in smart energy solutions & it’s really interesting hearing them speak about a new trend of hourly tariffs. This is where the cost of your energy bills changes hourly, based on the current supply & demand (something that is getting increasingly volatile as we move to renewable energy because one moment it’s sunny, another moment windy etc…)
Anyway these dynamic tariffs respond really well to smart home products because you can tell your heating system / car charger / water boiler to spring into action when the energy tariff is low. The result is some some serious savings on your bills.
