Ginger Gonzaga Instagram – For at least the first 7 years of my career, If there was a show about a family I knew I wouldn’t be able to audition for it. The family wouldn’t look like me, so it wasn’t an option. I couldn’t be the mom, or the daughter or the sister. Similarly I couldn’t audition for shows that took place before the 1970’s because a mixed race character would have looked historically out of place.
