I have been healing from a terrible heartbreak for the last year and it has not been easy… Whenever I was having a super rough time I would just bury myself in my work so I could avoid the pain I was feeling. During the first few months of the healing process I was so so angry. Mad that I fell in love, frustrated that no matter what I did it wouldn’t work out, and deeply hurt that I gave my heart to someone who not only didn’t deserve it but misused it. I wrote my best songs during that time but I didn’t feel ready to bring them to life. When the strike hit I finally had to stop hiding.
