Home Actress Hannah Kasulka HD Photos and Wallpapers October 2023 Hannah Kasulka Instagram - This memory popped up on my phone (not PROMOTION for anything idk if it’ll even air) just feeling nostalgic admits the strike. Thought I’d share a mini vlog with a few thoughts on the strike, plus some things I bring in my set bag inc- a reusable cup for refills. I stand in solidarity with all of my colleagues on strike. If you don’t know. This is a monumental moment for my entire industry and all the people it employs including caterers, camera departments, locations, etc et all. Plus this hasn’t happened since the 80’s (kind of the vibe of my character that day). I learned a not so fun fact this week in a strike solidarity meeting that @sagaftra lawyers’ found we saved studios ~ 250 million dollars a year due to self tapes (not inc an immeasurable figure for unpaid labor of friends, family members, etc for standing in as readers and being unwittingly casting associates) Shoutout @sagaftrafund who has been doing so much for actors since the pandemic. If you’re reading this and can spare a donation, that’s a great place to support artists like myself.  It’s just becoming increasingly clear that creatives have been holding the industry on our backs because we love what we do and want the “opportunity” and are genuinely happy to be here.  As an actor who also went to business school one thing I learned is CEO’s salaries are based mostly on performance pay. Meaning the more value add the more they get paid. It’s pretty clear the value add creatives are hauling around is more than the paultry 2% were asking for. It’s way past time we end the archaic practices of paying people pennies, with no residuals for doing “new media” work aka anything streaming. In terms of ai, stripping a human being of their likeness for no pay, without their consent just seems like a bad plot from an early 2000’s movie to me. Yet, here the studios are playing out hack storylines. Let’s get with the times and let the robots run numbers or replace business ppl not performers? #power2performers
