Isabel Oli Instagram – It was a dream come true for me in 2007 when I was given the opportunity to learn to drive and got my driver’s license. For months, I drove my van around town under the supervision of my driver.
However, October 5, 2008, 5 a.m., I will never forget that day cos I nearly got into a vehicle accident while driving my van home from taping in Batangas. I was so afraid that I put my driving skills on hold☹️
Fast forward to this year, my husband had an acid reflux attack last month and was in excruciating pain on and off. And I knew ER was the answer. However, we soon found that our driver was not at home at the time. I tried dialing a cab, but there was no answer because it was already around 2 a.m. My husband had no choice but to drive himself to the emergency room. (Thank God, he didn’t have an acid attack while driving) While I was sitting in the passenger seat, I was wondering, “What am I doing here, I should be the one driving now.”. It was then that I realized I had to do something to address the trauma or it would continue to control my life.
I suddenly remembered this verse from the Bible:
Isaiah 41:10 says : So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
I made the decision to face my worries by enrolling in a driving school. It was undoubtedly one of the greatest choices I have ever made. I took a refresher course because I haven’t driven in a long time! I’m taking things day by day because everything felt somewhat fresh to me again. I can’t believe I’m back behind the wheel again.🥹🤍
I praise God for these amazing folks who supported me along this journey:
