Jenny Beavan Instagram – I was in Amsterdam for the Septimius Awards earlier this week – the most fun, inclusive, diverse awards in the film industry! I was being given a ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ – along with David Parfitt, Anne Dudley, Stephen Warbeck and Felix de Rooy. Only slightly worrying, as I pointed out to them, as I still have things to achieve in my lifetime BUT a tremendous honour and I am thrilled to have been recognised for myself, my crews and Costume Design.
As well as the awards evening I was invited to take part in a panel discussion with director Alejandro Monteverde, producer David Parfitt and director/Tulsa Studios founder Ray Blinker (also in the “selfie plus me”). We saw amazing clips from films from all over the world and met wonderful people – a really good 2 days!
