Karlie Kloss Instagram – 25M women of childbearing age in the U.S. now live in states that have restrictive abortion policies. As someone who grew up in one of them, this has long been one of the most important issues to me. From conversations about reproductive rights with my sisters in the kitchen, to being trained as a patient escort in my early 20’s, to marching in the streets of NY after Roe, to visiting independent clinics in the midwest, it has opened my eyes to the struggles so many women face in seeking basic reproductive care in this country. I couldn’t just sit by and do nothing. That’s why I founded the Gateway Coalition. Gateway Coalition is a collective that works to direct funds and resources to independent clinics and the patients they serve. Our focus is to support care providers in the midwest and the important role they play in providing access to critical healthcare for patients, helping cover travel costs, and simply keep their doors open. I am deeply inspired by the many individuals who have been focused on this space for many years. Thank you @clintonglobal for including me in this conversation alongside Wendo Aszed, Natalia Kanem and Rebecca Gomperts and Jen Psaki- change will take a collective effort from us all. This is just the start.
Karlie Kloss Instagram – Introducing the #VogueBusiness100 Class of 2023: @karliekloss may be one of the most successful supermodels of the last 20 years, but she’s also one of the people leading the charge to merge the worlds of fashion and tech. A huge proponent of digital fashion, Kloss has helped to normalise advances that were once seen as at odds with fashion. Last September, she led a collaboration with @carolinaherrera to digitise and sell the runway gown that Kloss modelled during the IRL show that went on to sell for $5,000 in #Roblox’s peer-to-peer resale market. The huge success of the project opened the floodgates for viral product moments in the metaverse. Kloss has recently unveiled her own immersive fashion experience inside Roblox, called @fashionklossette, where aspiring fashion creatives can practice and share their looks with the world. Klossette continues a tradition of fostering emerging talent and democratizing access to tech that began when Kloss launched her free coding camp, @kodewithklossy, in 2015.
