I’ve been struggling with weight problem for as long as I can remember. I lost count of all the fad diets I went on, all the workouts I done, and all the binge eating there was. My period even stopped for 1.5 years during puberty cuz I eat too little. It’s always scary being on the scale, I gained a little, lost a little, then gained a lot. 😵‍💫

Working in showbiz certainly makes it more demanding on your looks. My chubbiness was ridiculed on newspaper during pageant days and I wasn’t sure how I got through it 🤣 Back in my Asia days, people’s usual greetings to me was: “oh great u lost weight!” OR “hm, you need to lose some weight.” Let’s just say I still have some PTSD from the HK showbiz days 🤫

I’ve never had the courage to do a BEFORE & AFTER photo cuz I was shamed of my big thighs and arms. I didn’t like how my body looked.

I started looking into my diet during the pandemic when I had repeated insomnia and panic attacks. That was the first time I truly understood why it meant by “you are what you eat”. This summer I stumbled upon @getwildfit through @mindvalley, I was suspicious and I wasn’t sure if it was gonna work? Was it just another disappointment that’ll cause more damage to my physical health? Well, I took a leap of faith and gave it a shot. The photos speak for itself. 😎 I’m so thrilled and proud of myself, for not only making aesthetic improvements, but mostly my mindset and relationship with food. PROCESSED SUGAR FOOD to be exact. The course really had me observe my behaviors and thoughts when craving sugar. Sugar detoxification process is just like quitting drugs or alcohol. I couldn’t have done so well without the support from family and friends who ignored my sugar craving request when 8pm hits and distracted my mind with something else that’s psychologically fulfilling to that void.

The results are gratifying! I now look better, have smoother skin,sleep better, no more panic attacks, and my glucose level went down a lot. I feel lighter, happier, and more confident of how I look.
