Keegan Connor Tracy Instagram – It’s hard to articulate all the feels when you finish an indie project like the one we made this weekend. So much heart and toil goes into making something independently, it’s a massive undertaking, but there’s also a beautiful freedom.
For me, directing is a visual and emotional puzzle I’m constantly trying to piece together – with as few pieces missing as possible. To not only tell the story visually, but to shape the mood and the feeling for the audience; it takes tremendous consideration of all the moving parts. This felt particularly important for this film, with its intense subject matter (medically assisted death) and its co-writer’s experience with it; I felt a lot of onus to do this story justice. There is never enough money or enough time but there is always enough heart, and this film has it in spades. Beautiful, nuanced and textured performances by this wonderful cast; I’m very proud of all of you. And the magnificent @prairielynn, whom I knew instinctively would tell so much of this story without words. Thank you to this entire team for the many hours of work that made it happen. Thank you @livingfreeashley and @zoemvfraser1 for entrusting me with this story and for allowing my hand to guide it. Thanks @thejordanconnor @hamm.zack and @iamkyleguerrero for keeping everything so well on tracks. @maximilianbrey – I think we made something beautiful. I’m so grateful.
