Lindsay Mendez Instagram – This post is dedicated to all of those hard working moms out there. And all of the folks that support those moms that are working hard, pursuing ALL of their dreams which include a career and a family. This is definitely not for the weak. Opening a Broadway show and all that comes with it is a full time job…and so is being the mom that I want to be to my daughter. Each morning, I wake up, sometimes with makeup still in my eyes from the night before, and I take a breathe of gratitude and try to give myself grace that I am doing the best I can, and that she will be ok and understand what I’m doing and who I’m doing it for. To support her. To show her that women can do it all with the right support and encouragement. And though raising her in a theater may not be conventional…I truly cannot think of a place more loving, inspiring, creative, and fun for her to be. Thank you to my @merrilyonbway producers and cast and crew for loving us and helping me in my pursuit of “doing it all.”
And to @jalexbrinson …my rock.
