Michelle Belanger Instagram – Today would have been my mother’s 70th birthday. She was a sculptor, a violinist, a singer, and (thanks to my grandmother) a deeply wounded soul.
She succumbed to cancer at 52.
I have very few photos of her, so let me share some of her art instead.
(The emerging figure with her hair in a bun is a piece called Chrysalis. It is a favorite of my mother’s work. Mom made it to commemorate her first remission from cancer. The remission did not last.
