Michelle Krusiec Instagram – I’ve always been interested in gods and myths since I was a child. I think Nian was sprung from a place of my imagination that lived both in the real world and in the imagined. This film came from my response to the anti-Asian hate that assaulted us during the pandemic (and continues to pervade as it always has been) but the outcome of the story somehow included my own experience with a bully from when I was a kid.
