Nakkiah Lui Instagram – FIRST EAT is a podcast based on the question: what would our dinner look like if First Nations people owned the land.
It was a question that came from being pregnant with my first child and wanting to know how will I nourish them and sustain them in a way that empowers them and makes them strong. The question took me on a journey around the world talking to so many different people about so many things like sovereignty, culture, land ownership, First Nations economies, farming, myth making and love.
Our meals are symbolic of who we are, our values and the stories we tell. I hope FIRST EAT nourishes your mind and soul like I hope it did mine when making it.
