Natalie Mendoza Instagram – This photo means more to me than anyone could ever know.
To begin one’s spiritual journey humbly at 16 with a yearning to understand life and with only a couple of tiny books in hand, Return of the Rishi and 7 Spiritual laws to success penned by Deepak Chopra one might say I was fortunate enough to orient myself in a way that I’m sure took many lifetimes to find.
I look at this photo taken last night and realize now … hey it all worked.
I met my first teacher Deepak.
My heart is full, I feel peace and I have been able to play in the realms of abundant love, creativity and joy ever since.
What a journey it’s been. Learning Transcendental Meditation, later finding Maharishi.
There were so many peaks, literally Himalayan peaks and equally as many valleys that I encountered along the way but to look back and realize I was able to maintain a sense of quiet peace and kindness in my heart… well that is how I measure my journey.
And here I am today. Fulfilling an old dream and healing an old wound of finally being able to play a dream role on Broadway @moulinrougebway
All in the midst of losing loved ones and my mama , a dancer who taught me so much but now hasn’t the literal mind to even understand what I’m doing in this moment and my pa who is blind who can’t see what it is I dreamed of achieving. So I’ve been left to wonder what truly matters?
— Long Covid took me into another long test where having breath in my lungs and only moderate pain became how I measured my day.
To suddenly get through a two show day yesterday and feel almost like my old self couldn’t have happened in a more poignant and fulfilling moment of being able to finally meet the man who guided me from my teens to Rishikesh to half way around the globe and back to Broadway during the insanity of a pandemic. Having few tools except the practice of TM and the wisdom of my few teachers and healers. I could finally see the magic in it all.
Thank you is all I can say, thank you @gchopra Ma and Pa Chopra. It truly was an honor to share the gifts I’ve received all by the Grace of your own spiritual offerings to the world.
