Stacey Abrams Instagram – Last week, I had the privilege of attending the Women Deliver 2023 Conference in Kigali, Rwanda. Women from every part of the world convened to share their stories, offer insights and ideas and reignite their power to shape the future. From girls in Cameroon and Nepal, women in Uganda and Malaysia and change agents in Kenya, Holland and Mexico, the urgency is clear. But so too are the solutions. My gratitude to @women_deliver and my host, @ndidemocracy, for convening conversations that become actions. I had the chance to go into Kigali and meet with entrepreneurs who are selling woven bags and artisan bricks. To admire young Rwandans and refugees from the DRC and Burundi who have found their passion in dance. Every moment is a reminder the work of democracy is fundamentally about shared power: how we shape, control and expand our worlds. The power is ours. #WD2023 #GenderEquality #WomenInLeadership
