Vedhika Instagram – #G20 Final Statement on behalf of People For Animals @pfa.official : The Mayor has publicly confirmed that there is no order to pick up dogs from anywhere in Delhi. Clearly, MCD has illegally picked up over 1200 dogs. The catching must be immediately halted and the impounded dogs accounted for — how many, from where taken to where? Citizen feeders must be enrolled into the care of these dogs and provided all help to ensure their safe return. We are asking animal lovers to spread a message: Pl share this message: We have tried talking to them. We have tried talking about them. It has not stopped them. The only way to stop them is to stop them. Calling all feeders, all animal People, wherever you see catching vans , please deflate their tyres. Object and obstruct them. Demand a written order. If it is not produced, call the police. And when police srrives, please get me ( 9810054077) on call. No more dogs to be taken. It is ironic that given the theme of the G20, Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam – one earth, one family, one future, what India is doing in preparation for the summit is shocking. Perfectly peaceful, sterilised, old, and even blind dogs are being rounded up and carted off to overcrowded, understaffed, and ill-prepared sterilisation units. Not only is this against the law, it violates the avowed spirit of the summit. It is hypocritical to talk of a shared future when we do not make room for or even acknowledge the existence of our co beings. #G20 #g20summit
