Zara Zyanna Instagram – SHE came home with HER.
@she_awards
Well, the little one was nominated for the “special appearance in film” category in SHE NAKSHATRAM AWARDS and the nomination took us by surprise cause we never felt what Zara has reached a milestone or this as achievement. Later, we received an update that the little one is a recipient and we had mixed feelings to receive it to be honest!
As parents we were discussing about the amazing talents in the industry and artists with spectacular performing skills and the reputation of the award. It has been handed over to deserving ones and we arrived at a place were we couldn’t wholeheartedly see ourselves there. The team was our eye opener. The conversation went like how special is the child’s presence and made us realise the point that it’s us who is about to hold back the appreciation for the kid’s effort.
I still remember, Zara was just a 2 yr old when she appeared in a web series and a 3 yr old when she explored being expressive in front of camera of a feature film. As a 30yr old, I can’t see myself doing it back then or now. That needs an appreciation and who am I to stand in between that credit she was about to receive.
Though we knew the child didn’t actually “act” but she was just being herself in the given situations.. there was a point where she knew it’s not “real” and They are filming to make a movie. And That’s commendable to us. She made us proud in the very moment she realised without our explanation that it’s just a reel scene and not a real world. And this award reminds me of these moments, her adaptive skills, her brilliance, her charm, her trust on us and her cooperation.
Sometimes we fail to appreciate the efforts of our dear ones. We are human, we take things for granted. We did get lost amidst the huge expectations that people have set on our head about achievements. But @she_awards reminded me, “All they need is a little pat on their back to believe in themselves to get there. Wherever they wanna be.” Instead of leading them, we have to just stand by them. Thanks for making us realise this by appreciating our kid. 🥹😍
