Alan Powell Instagram – With the theatrical release of Journey to Bethlehem literally just days away on Nov 10, as you can imagine, I’m going to be posting and sharing a lot about the film this week..
But I wanted to start with this picture. Me and my wife, @bryciemarie at the premier in Los Angeles on Friday night. She is the one that ultimately supported me in being able to make this movie.
For me, making @jtbmovie meant moving to Spain for 2 1/2 months to be there while prepping and filming. I came back once in the middle for 24 hours because I promised my kids I would but the 20 hour one way travel time made coming home on the weekends impossible. And as some of you may know, we have six kids. So what me being gone for 2 1/2 months means for her is that she has got six kids by herself, 24 hours a day.. for 105 days. I struggle when I have them for four hours on a Saturday.. and she did 105 days like a champ.. didn’t complain once. Was an amazing partner and encourager to me, was an amazing mother to our kids and if you ask me, one of the main reasons this film exists and certainly what allowed me to be there.
