🚬 Never done anything like this before – but, to be honest, I’m excited. The link is in the profile. October 16, 8pm, Ciné Lumieré, London Host of the evening – @fperkon All my life I’ve been fairly lucky to get involved in the craziest movies, being made by the most crazy and most adventurous people. From my very first lead part in Scythian I got an honor to experience the most technically and physically challenging setups and had to keep up with the best stunt guys. I had to learn how to deliver performance that the scene require being in a fairly hardcore environment. And, to be honest – maybe I’m loony, but I couldn’t be more happy. No, we won’t be talking about any acting techniques and it’s definitely not a masterclass how to be an actor – me, myself, is in the middle of this shit, right now. Learning, making mistakes and having fun. I will need another 30 years to understand what’s going on and to dare to talk what Acting is about. I’ll just try to share my own experience of surviving in the technically demanding setups and trying to deliver more or less passable acting, when it’s -35, yours legs are totally wet and iced, your horse doesn’t want to move any further and you can’t see where the camera is because of the snow storm. Or how to wipe out your own sweat on your face with a little stick, when you locked and blocked in the massive heavy space suit on the 16 feet height, attached to a giant robotic gymbal and no one from the team can’t reach you (you can’t really sweat in the space movies, because the sweat has to turn into a little round droplets and fly around your face – and it’s expensive for the VFX.) So, a lot of backstage, breaking down the most complex scenes from my films, before/after and other shit. Why Don’t You Just Die, Scythian, The Heart of Parma, Clipmakers, upcoming Shaman and Free Fall and many more. Also we will talk about some classics like Gladiator, Saving Private Ryan etc. My apologies to the English speaking audience – to avoid chaos we’ve decided to do this one mostly in Russian, for the Russian speaking audience. We will do it again in English, separately, in the nearest time. The date will be announced soon.
