We Direct Music Videos is thrilled to present Volume 2 of The Directors Series. This time, our guest is the esteemed filmmaker Hiro Murai. Over the last 15 years, Hiro Murai has been the mastermind behind videos for Childish Gambino, FKA Twigs, Earl Sweatshirt, Flying Lotus ft. Kendrick Lamar, Michael Kiwanuka, Massive Attack, Chet Faker, Spoon, The Shins, St. Vincent, and numerous others, as well as a creative force on TV series like Atlanta, The Bear, and Barry. Join us for a program of music videos selected by Hiro alongside a career-spanning discussion. The Directors Series is a celebration of the artistry of music videos and those who make them. As the music video continues to change and mutate in unknowable directions, we want to take stock of the directors and art we love, presenting hand-picked collections of videos in a format rare to the music video: theatrically, with a live audience, and with the filmmakers on hand to discuss their work.
